Kauffman State of Entrepreneurship Watch Party
We had a successful InnovateABQ Watch party, February 27th! It was co-hosted with Vanessa Roahhorse, Roanhorse Consulting, and was held at The Press Room Cafe.
You can rewatch the broadcast from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation below if you missed it.
Great speeches from:
Wendy Guillies, president and CEO of the Kauffman Foundation,
Victor Hwang, Vice President of Entrepreneurship at the Kauffman Foundation,
Guest panel of entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, and policymakers.
An interesting fact, pointed out by John Freisinger, InnovateABQ’s Executive Director: “ The Lobo Rainforest is named after Victor Hwang‘ s book The Rainforest: The Secret to Building the Next Silicon Valley, and many of the recommendations in the book were incorporated into the design thinking for the InnovateABQ Campus.” Victor also spoke at the University of Nevada TEDx program on why innovation happens best in environments that operate like rainforests and how this process of systemic innovation can produce systemic wealth. Victor Hwang is CEO, Co-founder, and Managing Director of T2 Venture Capital, a Silicon Valley firm that builds startups and designs the ecosystems that foster entrepreneurial innovation. Every month, just three out of 1,000 Americans decide to start a new business. Success really depends on what the rest of us, the 997, do to support the work of the three.
